Almond Crescents!


Well Happy Day!!! and Merry Almost Christmas!
I posted this picture on FB and Instagram this past week and promised to write out the recipe!
They are very easy to make and soooo good! They are good plain and OF COURSE they are good dipped in Chocolate!
Sometimes I also will take some and dip in White Chocolate and then lightly touch them down in red or green sugar or sprinkles for Christmas!

DORINA’S ALMOND CRESCENTS
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Egg
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp Almond Extract

Chocolate Chips (about half a bag or 1 cup or so)

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees

Cream butter, sugar and egg.
Beat in Flour and almond extract.
Roll into 1 inch balls then roll into little ropes and taper ends to make crescent shape.
Bake 8-10 minutes until set but not brown. Bottoms will be slightly golden.
Cool on wire racks or on cotton tablecloth.

Melt Chocolate chips in top of double boiler or metal bowl over hot (not boiling) water.

Dip one end of each cookie in melted chocolate.
Place on wax paper or on clean cookie sheet until chocolate is set.

Makes 4-5 dozen cookies.

I’ve been making this recipe for over 20 years now and it’s one of our family favorites!
